"Adam Lambert bares his soul"

Reviewed Item: Trespassing (Album) by Adam Lambert
Reviewer: WB

I am certainly NOT a person you would think a fan of Adam Lambert. Trust me, there is little 'glam' about this 48 year old straight guy. Yet, I remember thinking what a travesty that Lambert did not win on American Idol. His rendition of Ring of Fire should have garnered him the award. Still, Adam Lambert's talent cannot be denied as this sophmore album shows.

For Your Entertainment was a much more fun album than this follow-up, but Trespassing maybe a more honest portrayal of Lambert as he bares his soul. Lambert shows maturity on this album. You still get the soaring vocals, but not so overdone as on his first album. The songs on the last half of this album are my favorite of the bunch. I like Lambert's direction and look foward to what he has in store for us in the future.

I highly recommend the Deluxe Edition of this album as you will not want to miss out on the addititional tracks.

  1. You're so right! I love both albums and played FYE for two years and I still revisit it when I need a special life. Trespassing follows a more determinable path but it rocks and soothes and it's so good it's too difficult to choose a favorite--there are so many--and the Deluxe album is indeed the best deal because of the wonderful additional tracks. I've seen him live twice, and yes, I want more.
