Almost Script-esque in its soft yet effective without being in-your-face, this song written by BC Jean sounds like it could have come straight out of the Ryan Tedder library. But just when you think straightforward pop, it veers into Radiohead territory with a dramatic spike and, again, those undeniable vocals.

Maybe this song isn't actually about gay marriage, maybe it's about more than that. But after last week's vote in North Carolina and President Obama's subsequent public support for gay marriage, it's impossible to hear it any other way this week. Elsewhere on Trespassing, Adam has touched lightly on his sexuality. Here, though, he focuses on the human cost of societal attitudes, singing "Scars make us who we are/Hearts and homes are broken, broken/Far, we could go so far/With our minds wide open, open." For all of Adam's bravado on Trespassing, this is perhaps the bravest song.

Billboard's Review of Adam Lambert's "Outlaws of Love" Song

Outlaws of Love - "Everywhere we go, we're looking for the sun/Nowhere to grow old, we're always on the run," Lambert laments, as he seemingly drags himself out of the club and stares bleary-eyed into the future. More than any other song here, "Outlaws" demonstrates Lambert's impressive range -- he can play the sober adult just as well as the carefree party-starter.
